Fusion analytics dashboard: combination charts, returns tables, allocation donut, and performance modules

Fusion Analytics Dashboard

A flagship internal product to modernize how trading and ops teams access high-volume data, with intuitive data selection and interactive visualizations built on Fusion Data Cubes.

about.

Project Overview

I worked on Fusion's new performance analytics features, which provide detailed insights into returns, attribution, and risk across asset classes. We partnered with FactSet to integrate their analytics engine, allowing asset managers to focus on alpha generation while using Fusion's clean, unified interface for data and board-ready reporting.

The challenge was creating intuitive, board-quality dashboards that translate complex analytics into clear, actionable insights. It had to handle advanced filtering, deep slicing of data, and remain user-friendly under pressure, all while modernizing the legacy RaaS UI into a responsive web-based flex layout.

Dashboard widgets showing performance table, returns bars, allocation donut, history area chart, and trend combination chart
Dashboard modules Performance tables, returns charts, allocation donuts, and trend visualizations, all built as modular widgets that asset managers can configure to their workflow.

My Role

As Product Designer and UI Lead, I owned the visual direction and interaction design across the analytics platform, working closely with a UX designer and product owner embedded in cross-functional teams. I defined the component structure and accessibility layers in Figma with Salt Design System, translating trading desk needs into modular, reusable patterns that ensured accessible, cohesive experiences across every module.

Design Process

I collaborated with the product owner to gather requirements and align on goals, then worked closely with UX designers to iterate on mockups. We reviewed designs with the product and development teams, incorporating feedback and ensuring accessibility with an ADA specialist.

Once finalized, I partnered with developers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation, maintaining daily standups to keep the team aligned and on track. The dashboard was designed to handle large datasets, both real-time and historical, with filtering, toggles, aggregation views, and comparison tools. I kept the interface modular to adapt to varying data cube complexity and user role permissions.

Configuration flow: standard grid with column and group selection for portfolio metrics
Configuration panel Column, group, and display controls built with Salt Design System components, letting analysts tailor grids and data hierarchies without leaving the analysis surface.
Combination chart with fund and benchmark bars, excess line, and supporting data table
Combination charts Fund vs benchmark bars with excess line overlays and linked data tables, designed for board-ready reporting and at-a-glance performance comparison.
Fusion Analytics: sustainable investment issuer report with ESG scores, rating trends, emissions data, and controversies tracking
Sustainable investment reporting ESG scores, rating trends, emissions tracking, and controversies data, layered across issuer-level reports with configurable dashboard pages and deep data exploration.
