JPMM Research Platform
Financial research discovery and consumption platform for analysts, with information architecture-first design for JPMorgan Markets.
about.
Project Summary
Analysts and clients consuming J.P. Morgan research were struggling to find relevant content within a sprawling library of thousands of reports, notes and data publications. Search was inadequate, and personalisation was non-existent. Every user saw the same undifferentiated feed.
My Role
As UI Designer, I led the visual and interaction design for the research platform, crafting information-dense layouts optimised for fast scanning. I worked with product and engineering through workshops, Figma specifications, and handoff, ensuring the reading experience was clean, consistent, and accessible.
Design Process
I conducted a full content audit and taxonomy redesign, working with research authors, editorial staff and end-users to build a meaningful classification system. This formed the backbone of a new faceted search and filtering experience.
The interface was designed with information density in mind. Analysts needed to scan many results quickly, so the design prioritised information-dense list views over card-heavy layouts, with progressive detail on hover.
