Corporate Action Manager
Legacy corporate actions tool redesigned for operations and trading teams. 40% faster task completion, 60% fewer navigation steps.
about.
Project Summary
The existing corporate actions platform was a 15-year-old legacy system with no coherent visual language. Operations staff processed hundreds of time-sensitive events daily, but every action required multiple clicks, scrolls, and manual data checks.
Errors were costly. Missed or misprocessed corporate actions could create direct financial penalties.
My Role
I was on the design team for a year, co-designing with a UX partner across research, flows, and UI. Weekly sessions with ops analysts kept the redesign close to the desk. Together we delivered detailed Figma specs, keyboard-first navigation, and a WCAG-compliant interface.
Design Process
Twelve months with the ops desk showed the real workflows, not just the documented ones. Sustained contact revealed that 60% of the time was spent on status checks and data reconciliation, not actual processing.
The redesign introduced a priority queue view, contextual inline actions, a colour-coded urgency system, and keyboard-first navigation.
